Abstract

For more than two decades, the digital economy has been built around one fundamental capability: Access to information.

Search engines, platforms, and cloud systems transformed how individuals and organizations discover, analyze, and use information.

The dominant economic question became:

"Who can help people find the right information faster?"

However, the emergence of advanced artificial intelligence introduces a new economic transition: From Information Retrieval to Intelligent Execution.

In the emerging Command Economy of AI (CEAI), humans no longer interact with technology primarily to retrieve information. Instead, they express objectives through natural language commands, and intelligent systems coordinate agents, workflows, and digital infrastructure to execute economic activities.

This paper introduces the concept of the Command Economy of AI as a new operational layer for the digital economy.

The central thesis: The next phase of the digital economy will not be defined by who controls information access, but by who controls intelligent execution.
